2009 Jaguar XKR Convertible

The XKR is an enhanced version of the XK. Powered by a 420-hp 4.2-liter supercharged V8 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, the XKR can accelerate to 60mph in less than 5 seconds. The XKR's convertible roof is a power-latching, self-stowing system with three layers including Thinsulate insulation and a Rakona headliner. When the top is down, an aluminum tonneau cover conceals the canvas roof.

Inside the XKR lies an elegant, truly personal domain: contemporary, flawlessly trimmed, and equipped as the driver demands. Available soft-grain leather graces the seats, doors and console. Handcrafted satin-finish American Walnut and gloss Burl Walnut accents bespeak meticulous craftsmanship, and Aluminum trim imparts a sporting feel to the cockpit.

Controls and electronics are proficient and precise. An intuitive, 7-in. color touch screen employs Macromedia® Flash to deliver single-point control of audio, navigation, climate, telephone, and vehicle settings in a crisp, vibrant graphic display. The XKR also offers drivers the Jaguar Smart Key System with keyless entry and keyless start, bi-Xenon headlamps, available Adaptive Front Lighting that rotates headlamps to help illuminate around corners, Rain-sensing Wipers, available Adaptive Cruise Control radar that monitors slowing traffic ahead and applies braking to maintain distance, and Front and Reverse Park Control.
